Thailand lifts curfew in tourist hubs

THAILAND has lifted its
curfew in major tourist
destinations Pattaya,
Ko Samui and Phuket,
effective June 3.
The curfew for all other
Thai destinations will
remain between midnight
and 04h00 daily.
In areas where the curfew
has been lifted, tourist
services and businesses
have resumed their normal
operating hours.
The Tourism Authority of
Thailand has advised that
in other popular tourist
destinations that are still
under curfew, such as Hua
Hin, Khao Lak (Phang-nga)
and Krabi, all tourismrelated
businesses and
services are operating
normally, and that there
is hardly any military
presence in the major
beach destinations.
