Travel Insurance Consultants (TIC) has excluded SAA from its Travel Supplier Insolvency (TSI) benefit, with immediate effect.
Policies already issued prior to the close of business on November 27 will not be affected.
“Our re-insurers have instructed TIC to exclude SAA on our TSI benefit,” says head of travel insurance, Jason Veitch. “TIC will be informing all travel management companies of the withdrawal of cover. This notice in no way prevents your own commercial decision to sell SAA airline tickets.”
