TLS site blocks bulk visa bookings

Users of the UK Embassy’s visa application website, TLScontact, are not able to pay for more than five applications using a single bankcard, according to visa application companies.

The companies report that the website blocks the card after the fifth payment. eTNW understands that TLS has implemented this to prevent consumers from falling victim to fraud. However, client application appointments cannot be secured without payment.

The current website was launched two years ago. However, many visa processing companies and agencies continued to use the original site, citing ‘technical glitches’ on the new site as the reason behind their refusal to migrate.

On September 19, the old site was discontinued, forcing users on to the newer site.
