Construction at the Pinnacle Tower, which will house the Hilton Nairobi
Upper Hill, has begun. The new Hilton is scheduled to open in 2020. At
300m tall, the Pinnacle Tower will be the tallest building in Africa. It is
16km from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The Hilton Upper Hill
will occupy 45 storeys of the building, offering 225 rooms. Upper Hill’s
facilities include an executive lounge and five food and beverage outlets,
including a poolside bar, speciality smokehouse and grill restaurant. The
tower will also have a 70-storey mixed-use wing, which will include a
residential, retail and entertainment complex. The tower will cater to the
middle and high-end luxury hospitality market.
