Hilton has followed Marriott’s lead in implementing a more restrictive
cancellation policy. Effective July 31, travellers now have to cancel their
reservations at least 48 hours instead of 24 hours in advance. The new
policy applies to all Hilton’s hotels in the US and Canada. Travellers who
fail to cancel their reservations at least 48 hours in advance will have to
pay a cancellation penalty equal to a one-night stay.
