The deadline for PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) compliance was on Thursday,
March 1. While not all agencies are compliant, Iata has said that effective March 1, it will initiate the
enforcement process by seeking validation of Iata Accredited agents’ compliance evidence. Iata-accredited
agencies that are not compliant will not automatically lose their accreditation, but could lose the ability to issue
tickets with the Customer Card Payment Method on BSP if they do not reach compliance.
