Tokyo has opened a new Pokémon theme park in the suburb of Inagi, half an hour from Tokyo’s city centre.
Stretching over 26 000sqm in Yomiuriland amusement park, PokéPark Kanto will be the first permanent outdoor Pokémon attraction and will feature a walkable forest inhabited by more than 600 life-sized Pokémon.
After the forest, visitors enter Sedge Town square, which features a Pokémon parade, Pokémon-themed food, an Eevee-themed carousel and a gym to watch live Pokémon battles that blend human performers with animatronics.
