Three-country Europe train on track

A new train service connecting Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium has been launched after a six-month delay.

The train will connect to Liège, Maastricht and Aachen. Before the new train launched, services travelled between Liège and Maastricht and Maastricht and Aachen, but this new service will connect the three cities Liège and Aachen, stopping in Maastricht without the need to swap trains.

The LIMAX train completed its inaugural trip on June 26.

The train takes less than an hour and 30 minutes from Liège to Aachen, with 11 stops between the three main cities. A common ticketing system is yet to be set up, but tickets can now be purchased through SNCB channels, reports Travel Tomorrow.
