Italian operator announces cross-channel service

Ferrovie dello Stato (FS Group) has announced plans for a new high-speed rail service connecting London and Paris by 2029.

The operator is already operating in France, with Trenitalia France, and in the UK, with Trenitalia UK, giving it a competitive advantage to begin services on this route, according to Travel Daily News.

High-speed train to connect Mediterranean-Adriatic coasts

Italian operator, Ferrovie dello Stato, will launch a high-speed train between Naples on the Mediterranean coast and Bari on the Adriatic coast by 2028.

The project includes 145km of high-speed-enabled tracks to connect the cities in two hours, 50 per cent faster than it currently takes.
