Travelport has launched a new Live Chat service on the MyTravelport customer portal for information, services and support, which instead of calling or emailing the helpdesk, enables customers to instantly message the Travelport support team.
MyTravelport can be accessed anywhere, at any time, on any device and is available in multiple languages. Once users have engaged with a member of the Travelport team via the Live Chat platform, a summary of the chat is then sent to the customer via email.
Travelport’s md for Africa, Guido Verweij said: “We’re excited to introduce a Live Chat service to MyTravelport. By improving response times and allowing travel agents to multitask – be on the phone to suppliers, clients or staff while simultaneously resolving an issue – we believe it will save them an enormous amount of time, reducing process, pressure and workload.”
Apart from the new Live Chat function, MyTravelport enables clients to:
- Chat with the helpdesk or submit and track any incidents (support requests)
- Access knowledge base articles
- Access MyLearning to book Travelport classroom training and online courses
- Access answers to FAQs
- View service alerts, news and events
- Create shortcuts, favourite answers and reset passwords
- View and download fact sheets
- View best practice guides
