Turkey has launched a range of COVID-19 travel insurance policies, starting from €15 (R298) for €3 000 (R59 536) worth of healthcare costs, according to a notice on the Turkish Airlines website.
The Turkish provider has also launched insurance packages to cover costs if a stay has to be extended due to a positive test. Cover starts from €10 (R198) for 15 days, covering up to €100 (R1 985) accommodation costs a day for a maximum of 15 days, the report says.
Policies are available online at https://www.covidinsurance4turkey.com/?ch=thy, as well as from certain airlines and at airport kiosks.
