From this month, travellers of all nationalities must submit a copy of their passport’s external cover page, Gulf News reports.
It is a mandatory document for all entry permit applications and applies to all visa types as well.
The passport external cover page is the front page showing the issuing authority, emblem, and national markings.
UAE immigration authorities say they have introduced this requirement to improve security verification and reduce errors and delays in visa processing.
