Cityscoot e-mopeds will be available for use via the Uber app in Paris from next month.
Uber app users will have access to 4 000 e-mopeds available for booking at €0,29 (R4,78) per minute.
A picture of a valid driver’s licence, subject to Uber’s approval, is required for eligible riders.
After selecting an e-moped, users follow the itinerary and unlock the vehicle by typing the PIN on the handlebar.
At the end of the trip the electric moped must be parked within a Cityscoot zone or at an authorised place – car and motorbike parking spots.
Uber will provide complimentary tutoring sessions for beginners and a standard helmet with hairnet are provided with every moped.
