Uber’s division for corporate clients, Uber for Business, now includes sustainability data in its client dashboard.
This allows users to see low-emission trips taken using Uber Green, User Comfort Electric and Uber Planet where available, as well the low-emission trip percentage of total rides.
Clients can also see total greenhouse gas emissions in kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent across all rides in a given timeframe, the average gCO2 emissions per mile and a graph of total emissions by average gCO2 per mile.
Uber for Business launched the new data after conducting a pilot with a group of businesses across a range of sectors.
The company said carbon-emission tracking capability had become a top request from its business clients.
