UK proposes visa fee hike

The UK government has proposed fee increases for its two-year visitor visas and electronic travel authorisation (ETA).

The draft proposes that the two-year visitor visa price is hiked from £475 (R10 420) to £506 (R11 100).

Additionally, it proposes that the ETA fee, for nationals visiting from visa-exempt countries, increases from £16 (R350) to £20 (R440).

The proposal is to be finalised and implemented by April.

This follows visa fee increases implemented by the UK in April 2025.
