The hospitality industry is about to plunge into the world of underwater hotels and, according to a recent report, this niche market is poised for a growth spurt.

A report from HTF Market Intelligence paints a rosy picture for this industry, which is expected to reach a compound annual growth rate of 13,60% from 2022 to 2032.

HTF collected data from over 200 companies in the underwater hospitality industry and highlighted a few key global players.

The Manta Resort, Pemba Island, Tanzania: This property features underwater rooms built into floating suites, allowing guests to live among and appreciate the sea life of the Indian Ocean.

Conrad, Rangali Island, Maldives: The overwater Conrad resort also offers underwater bedrooms for travellers looking to sleep below the waves.

Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai: The property is on the Arabian Gulf and guests can either stay in underwater rooms or in accommodation that provides unrivalled views of the Arabian Sea.

The Poseidon Resort, Fiji: This underwater complex boasts private, multi-level villas complete with living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms, all offering panoramic views of the depths of the ocean.

Utter Inn, Sweden: The quirky underwater ‘cabin’ at Utter Inn provides a more rustic experience, an accommodation option with an underwater view into the Swedish lake ecosystem.
