TSA security lines in some US airports have begun to return to normal this week, as TSA officers began receiving back pay amid a six-week partial government shutdown.
Over the weekend, US President Donald Trump signed an executive action for TSA officers to receive back pay while the partial shutdown continued.
Delta Air Lines reported reasonable wait times at most of its hubs, including Boston, Los Angeles, Detroit, Minneapolis, Seattle and Salt Lake City. However, queues were slightly longer at Atlanta, LaGuardia and JFK airports during peak travel times.
The US Travel Association is calling on Congress to pass legislation to guarantee pay for TSA officers and air traffic controllers during all future government shutdowns.
