Virgin Atlantic and China Eastern have signed a new codeshare agreement to improve connections to East Asia and access to more destinations across China for Virgin customers.

The codeshare allows Virgin Atlantic passengers to connect from Shanghai Pudong to other Chinese cities on a single ticket, reports travelmole.com.

China Eastern passengers will be able to connect via London Heathrow to Johannesburg, Cape Town, Lagos, Jamaica and Nassau.

Codeshare tickets to the Chinese cities of Chengdu, Changsha, Qingdao, Shenzhen and Xi’an are now on sale.

Virgin Atlantic joined the SkyTeam alliance early last year. The airline has been co-located at Shanghai Pudong’s Terminal One with China Eastern since November 2023.
