W African carrier provides direct JNB-LOS flights

Nigerian-based airline, Air Peace, is operating direct flights between Johannesburg and Lagos.

Flights operate on Thursdays and Sundays. P47564 departs from Johannesburg at 11h35 and arrives in Lagos at 16h35. P47563 departs from Lagos at 01h35 arriving in Johannesburg at 08h35.

Travel News understands that the airline launched its Johannesburg service during December and while it does not have local representation at present, APG South Africa is providing the airline with a local ticket office.

FCTG gm product and marketing, Sue Garrett, told Travel News that Air Peace representatives from Nigeria had been engaging with Flight Centre over the last few months and she understood that the carrier’s itineraries were available in the GDS.

The airline is filling the gap for direct flights to Lagos, after SAA ceased operations early last year.
