This is the first Waldorf Astoria to make the Seychelles its home and the fifth destination in Hilton’s Seychelles portfolio.

With a 14-kilometre lagoon, palm tree forest, and its own coral reef, Platte Island remains a largely untouched natural landscape in the Seychelles.

“I have never witnessed an island as pristine as Platte Island, nor one so teeming with wildlife,” said Elias Pertoft, GM of The Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island.

The hotel features 50 seafront villas with up to five bedrooms and a concierge assigned to each villa, a pool and beach bar, a spa and a fitness center with a tennis court. Guests will be able to enjoy a wide variety of cuisine experiences ranging from Creole Latino dishes from the resort’s Maison des Epices to artisanal pastries and coffee at the Peacock Terrace.

To support its sustainability efforts, the hotel will be powered mostly using solar energy. It is also growing much of the fresh produce in its own vegetable garden.
