WORLD Travel has announced several changes to products in its offering.
The Eurail Board has announced that sales of all Eurail Tourpasses will stop at the end of the year. Travel date limitations have been put in place for passes sold in 2011. Sales will stop on December 31, although travel will be allowed until February 29. Travel after this date will not be authorised and travellers holding a Eurail Tourpass will be fined by conductors on board.
Meanwhile, the Tallink Silja - Helsinki-Rostock route has been discontinued, while the Tallink Silja Line has ceased its ferry service between Helsinki and Rostock.
Grimaldo Lines Livorno to Morocco will no longer run through Valencia, instead passing Barcelona. As a result, there will no longer be a service between Livorno-Valencia and Valencia-Tangier, and ferries will now run between Palermo/Salerno to Tunis twice a week. The route Genova-Catania-Valetta (Malta) has also been cancelled.
In other news, Minoan Lines, which links Greece to Italy, has introduced a fuel surcharge of EUR15 (R153) per journey per traveller, excluding infants. The surcharge will apply to the Patras/Corfu/Igoumenitsa-Venice and Patras/Igoumenitsa-Ancona international routes.
