AUSTRIAN Airlines has commissioned the Mount Nelson Hotel's executive chef, Garth Stroebel, to design menus which reflect modern South African cuisine for all northbound Business Class passengers to Vienna during the year 2000.
Stroebel has designed three menus offering passengers a choice of three traditional dishes, encapsulating the new food and wine culture in South Africa.
"I have created a menu that presents well and tastes delicious despite the specific conditions of in-flight preparation and service."
Austrian Airlines currently offers four weekly northbound flights to Vienna from Johannesburg and two from Cape Town.
