Air Astana, Kazakhstan’s national airline, will launch a new low-cost carrier, FlyArystan, on May 1, with Taraz and Uralsk announced as the first domestic routes from Almaty International Airport.
FlyArystan will operate Airbus A320 aircraft with 180 seats in economy class. The low-cost carrier will launch with a fleet of four aircraft and expects to grow the fleet size to at least 15 by 2022.
Kazakhstan has pledged its commitment to the development of its inbound and domestic tourism sectors and saw a growth in inbound tourism of 10% in 2018.
