EK opens Manchester lounge

Emirates has opened its new £10 million (R219,4 million) Lounge at Manchester Airport’s Terminal 2.

The lounge features live cooking, relaxation and productivity spaces, and direct lounge-to-aircraft boarding.

An open show kitchen serves freshly prepared dishes, while a mixologist serves locally inspired cocktails and mocktails. A Made in Manchester food menu highlights local flavours and suppliers as well as an international menu.

The lounge is open up to four hours before flight departures and is available on a complimentary basis to First Class and Business Class customers. Emirates Skywards Platinum and Gold members can also access the lounge, including those travelling in Premium Economy and Economy Class. Emirates customers who do not fall into one of these categories can purchase access on arrival.
