Air travel round-up: EK adds Helsinki flights

Emirates will launch daily flights between Helsinki and Dubai from October 1, operated by its new A350 aircraft with Premium Economy.

Flight EK167 will depart Dubai at 08h45 and arrive in Helsinki at 14h55. Return flight EK168 will depart Helsinki at 16h45 and arrive in Dubai at 00h20 the following day.

ET launches Nacala flights

From June 23, Ethiopian Airlines will launch three weekly flights to Nacala, Mozambique, via Blantyre, Malawi, on a triangular route.

Flights will depart Addis Ababa on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 09h10 and arrive in Blantyre at 12h15. Flights will depart Blantyre at 13h15 and arrive in Nacala at 14h20.

The return flight will depart Nacala at 15h35 on the same days and arrive in Addis Ababa at 20h30.

Etihad launches LUX-AUH flight

Etihad will launch a new non-stop service between Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Luxembourg (LUX), starting October 29.

On Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, flights will depart AUH at 02h45, arriving in LUX at 06h55. On the same days, the return flight departs LUX at 09h35 and arrives in AUH at 19h05.

The route will be operated by an A321LR, featuring a three-class cabin, including First Suites and lie-flat business seats.

AF upgrades in-flight dining

Air France (AF) has upgraded its La Première in-flight dining experience with menus created by triple-Michelin-starred chef Anne-Sophia Pic, owner of Pic Lab. She was voted world’s best female chef by World’s 50 Best.

The airline is also continuing its collaboration with Claire Heitzler, Gault & Millau's 2013 Pastry Chef of the Year, as well as introducing dessert from master ice cream maker, Philippe Faur, whose culinary delights were voted France’s best ice cream of 2012.
