Etihad launches daily flights to Kolkata
ETIHAD Airways has launched daily flights between Abu Dhabi and
Kolkata, operated by an A320. The flight departs Johannesburg
at 20h30, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 06h50 the next day. It departs
for Kolkata at 11h10, arriving at 17h20. The return flight departs
Kolkata at 18h20, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 22h30. The flight
departs Abu Dhabi at 02h00 next day to arrive in Johannesburg at
08h40. This new service will support the growing demand from air
travellers who are keen to fly between West Bengal and the Middle
East, Europe and North America via Etihad’s Abu Dhabi home base.


Emirates adds new destination
EMIRATES will fly daily from Dubai to Orlando from September 1,
its tenth destination in the US. It will operate a B777-200LR on the
route, with eight first-class suites, 42 business-class seats and 216
seats in economy. EK219 will depart Dubai International Airport
at 03h50 and arrive at Orlando International Airport Terminal B
at 11h40. The return flight, EK220 will depart Orlando at 14h20
and arrive in Dubai at 12h30 the following day. Travellers can also
connect on to other destinations in the US, the Caribbean and South
America through the airline’s codeshare partner JetBlue. Emirates
also plans to launch a new daily non-stop service from Dubai to Bali
from June 3, using a B777-300ER in a two-class configuration.
