Air Namibia ups SA frequencies
AIR Namibia is to up flight frequencies that were withdrawn
in June, after the airline suspended operations to Luanda and
reduced frequencies on some flights between Windhoek and
Cape Town and Johannesburg. Windhoek-Johannesburg has been
increased from 14 to 21 flights per week; Windhoek-Cape Town
increased from seven to 14 flights per week, in line with the
normal published schedule. Seven of the rotations will be direct
and non-stop; the other seven rotations will be via Walvis Bay.
Eros-Ondangwa remains two flights per day, one in the morning,
the second in the late afternoon. Domestic flights to Lüderitz
and Oranjemund operate from Eros Airport and no longer from
Hosea Kutako International Airport. The change enables sameday connections from Eros to/from Lüderitz/Oranjemund and
Ondangwa. Days of operation remained on Tuesdays, Thursdays,
and Saturdays.
Air Seychelles simplifies inter-island travel
AIR Seychelles has started to implement a new boarding
procedure for passengers travelling between Mahé and Praslin and
other islands within the Seychelles archipelago. Prior to boarding
the Twin Otter aircraft, passengers proceed to the boarding counter
within the domestic departure terminal to view a dedicated
on-board safety video briefing. They are also advised of guidelines
to follow when proceeding to and from the domestic terminal on
the ramp to the aircraft for boarding.
