Airlink to connect Cape Town with Gaborone

Airlink is expanding its network to include direct Cape Town-Gaborone flights from April 1, 2025.

Flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between Cape Town International Airport (CPT) and Sir Seretse Khama International Airport (GBE) on the following schedule:

  • Flight 4Z 364 departs CPT at 10h50 and arrives in GBE at 13h00.

  • Flight 4Z 365 departs GBE at 13h45 and arrives in CPT at 16h00.

“As Botswana’s capital, Gaborone is an important regional destination for business, with the city being home to thriving minerals, resources, automotive and tech sector companies. And it hosts the Southern African Development Community headquarters. It is also an important leisure tourism gateway to many game lodges and the Gaborone Game Reserve,” said Airlink CEO and MD, Rodger Foster.

“Alongside Cape Town’s economic expansion, we are seeing rising demand for travel between the two cities and Airlink is ideally placed to connect them with a convenient direct service. It also enables customers travelling via Cape Town on our various international partner airlines to seamlessly connect onwards to Gaborone on a single ticket and vice versa for customers travelling from Gaborone,” Foster added.

Airlink operates the route with its modern 44-seat Embraer E140 Regional Jets. Fares include a 20kg free economy class checked-in luggage allowance plus a 15kg sporting equipment allowance.

On board, customers are treated to a complimentary light meal and refreshments. The airline’s cabins are designed with generous legroom and a choice of aisle or window seats – Airlink aircraft do not have middle seats.
