Marriott International has signed an agreement with Angola’s Sovereign Wealth Fund (Fundo Soberano de Angola) to bring the Sheraton Hotels and Resorts brand to Angola with the planned opening of Sheraton Luanda in early 2026.

The 326-room hotel will be located on Luanda Bay near the city’s commercial, cultural and diplomatic districts. Planned facilities include an all-day dining restaurant, multiple bars, 11 event and meeting spaces, a fitness centre, spa, swimming pool, Sheraton Club, and shared work and lounge areas.

“The entry of Sheraton into Angola represents a strategic milestone for the tourism sector, raising hospitality standards, attracting international investment and positioning the country as an increasingly competitive destination in the global market,” said Angola’s Minister of Tourism Márcio Daniel.
