Airlink to resume Polokwane flights

Airlink has announced that it will be able to resume its scheduled Polokwane service from October 18.

The service was disrupted in April to enable Polokwane Airport to upgrade its emergency services to comply with civil aviation regulatory requirements after the airport had fallen below the minimum standard required for scheduled air services.

“The Johannesburg-Polokwane route is important for business travellers and plays a crucial role in supporting Limpopo’s economy. We are looking forward to resuming our regular flights, which we will serve up to three times a day,” said Airlink CEO and MD, Rodger Foster.

The flights are timed to provide travellers with convenient connections with Airlink’s domestic and regional flights through its Johannesburg hub at OR Tambo.

Flight schedule

Commencing October 18:

·       4Z 801 departs Johannesburg at 06h35, arriving at Polokwane at 07h30 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

·       Return flight 4Z 802 departs Polokwane at 07h55, arriving in Johannesburg at 08h50.

·       4Z 815 departs Johannesburg at 16h35, arriving at Polokwane at 17h30 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

·       Return flight 4Z 816 departs Polokwane at 18h00 and arrives in Johannesburg at 18h55.

Additional Saturday flight from October 23:

·       4Z 813 departs Johannesburg at 10h30, arriving at Polokwane at 11h25 on Saturdays.

·       Return flight 4Z 814 departs Polokwane at 11h55, arriving in Johannesburg at 12h50.
