THE newest arrival on the European
river cruising scene, Amadeus’
Silver II, launched at the end of
April, with its “baptism” conducted
by the youngest daughter of the
Lueftner family, which owns the
shipping line.
The vessel is already operating
itineraries on European waterways
for the current season, and is
fully booked for 2015. Her 2016
season will see her make over
30 departures on six different
routes, on the Rhine, the Main,
the Danube and the waterways of
Belgium and Holland.
Silver II is 135m long, with 72
16-17sqm cabins, mostly with
French balconies and luxurious
bathrooms, plus 12 Amadeus
suites. She carries 168 pax.
Lueftner Cruises is represented
by Austria Connection in the South
African market.
