CATHAY Pacific has joined the
list of airlines to specifically
disallow agent-owned cards.
This follows the adoption
of amendments to Iata
Resolution 890, which now
allows the use of agentowned
cards as a form of
payment if permission is
granted by the airline.
The airline stated in a
notification to trade this
week: “Kindly note that
Cathay Pacific will not agree
to any use of agents’ own
personal cards to pay.”
