 Airports Company South
Africa (Acsa) has announced
the appointment of Bongiwe
Pityi as the new gm of OR
Tambo International Airport.
An admitted attorney of
the High Court of South
Africa, Bongiwe has a 14-year
track record in the aviation
industry, having fulfilled several
management roles for Acsa,
both locally and abroad.
Her most recent position,
from 2012 until the middle of
this year, was deputy director
of operational readiness
planning at Guarulhos
International Airport in São
Paulo, Brazil, in which Acsa
has a stake.
Acsa ceo, Bongani Maseko,
said: “Pityi is ideally suited
to operate our flagship, OR
Tambo International Airport,
as she has extensive aviation
experience. She has proven
her abilities in South Africa
and Brazil and I am certain
that she will do an excellent
job of managing Africa’s
busiest airport.”
 The Saxon Hotel, Villas
and Spa has
appointed
Adam Beadon
as the director
of sales and
marketing. The
move follows the
Saxon’s brand
refresh and is aligned to the
company’s plans to step up its
expansion.
Adam joins the Saxon
after eight years of working
with InterContinental Hotel
Group (IHG) within their
InterContinental and Crowne
Plaza brands in the Middle
East.
 Wilderness Collection has
announced new
appointments.
Nicholas
Solomon
has been
appointed gm
of North Island,
Seychelles.
Nicholas most recently
worked at La Residence in
Franschhoek and has 18 years
of operational experience
across the globe.
He will be joined by
Austen Johnston
in the role of
operations
manager and
Georgina
Johnston as
guest experience
host
