Following a one-year extension last June, British Airways has announced that Executive Club members whose tier points expire between July 1 and December 31, 2021, will now have their expiry date extended by a year. This should reflect in their Executive Club accounts by now. This means no member will lose their tier status in 2021, regardless of how many tier points they earn or which card they hold.
The airline has also announced a six-month extension to all Executive Club vouchers. This followed similar extensions in March and October 2020 and includes Gold upgrade vouchers and American Express Companion vouchers.
BA is further adding an extra six months of validity to all new Companion vouchers or Travel Together tickets earned between June 2020 and the end of December 2021. The airline says it is also continuing to reduce the number of points needed to reach each tier by 25% for those whose tier point collection year ends before July 2022.
