British Airways says it is “considering the implications for its schedule”, after pilots announced yesterday that they were calling off strike action planned for September 27.
The British Airline Pilots’ Association (Balpa) released a statement, claiming that the strike action that had taken place on September 9 and 10 “had demonstrated the anger and resolve of pilots”. The association also expressed hope that the airline would negotiate “seriously” to end the dispute.
Balpa added that should BA refuse to engage in meaningful new negotiations, it reserved the right to announce further strike dates.
The airline has said that it will “give updates in due course”.
