British Airways will cease flying from London Gatwick to Oakland, California, on October 20.
A spokesman for the carrier said: “We regularly review our schedule to ensure that we are flying to destinations popular with our customers.
“We already operate two incredibly successful routes from the Bay area. We launched a new direct service to San Jose in 2016 and we have 21 flights a week to SFO [San Francisco] and SJC [San Jose] alone.
