Bhutan is rolling out a nationwide crypto payment system to enable fully cashless transactions for tourists across the region.

The collaboration between Binance Pay and Bhutan’s fully digital DK Bank allows Binance Pay users to pay for nearly every part of their journey using more than 100 cryptocurrencies, including BNB, BTC and USDC.

According to Travelmole, tourists can pay for airline tickets to Bhutan, a tourist visa and the Sustainable Development Fee, hotel bookings, tour guides, monument entry fees, local shopping, and more.

More than 100 merchants are already live on the system and purchases can be done through QR code payments.
