A new iconic landmark in Dubai, Atlantis The Royal Resort and Residences, opened its doors to the public on Friday, February 10. This property gives new definition to the term luxury, says Thompsons Holidays, which is marketing the hotel in the South African market.
Located on a private beach on The Palm Jumeirah, it boasts unique stepped-form architecture, offering guests a new definition of ultraluxury with its Cloud 22 Lounge and Sky Pool situated 22 floors above the sea. The bar, Resonance, has a display tank where 4 000 jellyfish swim. The Royal Sensorium spa is the result of the re-imagining of traditional hammam culture.
US megastar, Beyoncé, headlined the private concert in Dubai to mark the opening of luxury hotel Atlantis The Royal.
The 43-floor hotel is situated at the end of the Palm, facing the Persian Gulf and a short walk from the original, now 15-year-old Atlantis Dubai. The hotel is an unusual design, comprising nearly 800 rooms and 231 private homes, all set in a series of geometric, stacked boxes, which some observers have compared with a Jenga game.
Thompsons Holidays, which has had a long-standing partnership with Atlantis Dubai in representing the original Dubai icon, Atlantis The Palm, is thrilled to be part of the launch of this newest Dubai icon to the South African market.
In focusing on Atlantis The Royal, Thompsons is targeting the very niche ultraluxury market where people are looking for something unique and extraordinary to redefine their own definition of luxury.
Thompsons is currently offering a five-night package, for bookings up to September 23, 2023, to Atlantis The Royal, starting from R47 085 per person, for the travel dates of June 1-October 1, 2023.
“Thompsons Holidays is proud to have Atlantis The Royal as a valued partner and shares the excitement in launching this ultra-luxury experiential five-star resort to the South African market,” says Celeste Muir, Marketing Manager of Thompsons Holidays.
