Breaking News: Delta plans CPT flights

US carrier Delta Air Lines applied yesterday (February 17) to the US Department of Transport for the rights to operate a non-stop direct service between its hub in Atlanta and Cape Town.

Should the application be approved, Delta plans to operate three flights a week year-round on the route using a 306-seat Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The service would commence from November 18.
