Capago offers new French visa process

Here’s good news for rugby fans who are heading for Rugby World Cup in France this year!

Capago Johannesburg is offering a service that will allow clients to apply for French Schengen visas directly from a travel agency office, or even from their homes. Corporates will be able to access the same service in their own offices. This obviously means a time saving and no need to wait in queues.

Abnese Roda, Communication and Partnership Manager at Capago Worldwide told Travel News that a Capago team will travel country wide within South African borders to collect passports and documentation, process photographs and fingerprints, thanks to a mobile biometric solution which has been approved by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“With the Rugby World Cup set to take place in France from September 8 to October 28, we are expecting very high volumes of visa applications through the French Embassy from March,” said Roda.

“Capago’s offer applies to home visits and corporate clients (in office) and we also offer the opportunity for applicants to travel to our pop up office in Durban which will be open three times a month (location and days to be advised).

“This service is available in Gauteng and Pretoria for a minimum of one applicant - anywhere else in South Africa we require a minimum group of 10 people to make it worthwhile for our travelling team.”

The cost of the service is:

1 applicant: E285 (around R5 594)

2 to 4 applicants: E210 (around R4 122) per person

More than 5 applicants: E170 (around R3 336) per person

Capago says: “Visa applicants are advised to be cautious in all dealings with companies that claim to offer assistance in obtaining French visas. Capago is the only official company mandated by the French Government to process visa applications.”
