Cathay returns to Chennai

Cathay Pacific Airways is to resume three flights a week to Chennai in February 2024.

The airline is gradually rebuilding its network of pre-pandemic destinations and its recovery remains on track as demand for travel across its network remains strong, reports businesstraveller.com.

Cathay Pacific’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, Lavinia Lau, said: “Our newly resumed flights serving Johannesburg received a very positive response, in particular among business and leisure travellers flying to Hong Kong and beyond.”

The airline will use a 368-seat Boeing 777 to operate the Chennai flights, with 40 seats in business class, 32 in premium economy and 296 in economy.

On Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays, flight CX641 will depart from Hong Kong at 21h50 and arrive in Chennai at 01h00 the following day. On Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, flight CX632 will depart from Chennai at 02h20 and arrive in Hong Kong at 09h55.
