Comair clarifies bookings policy

05 Oct 2020 - by Sarah Robertson

Following an error printed in the Comair Business Rescue Plan that differed to communications sent to agents earlier in the year relating to the airline’s booking policies for unused tickets, the airline has clarified the following:

*Customers had a choice to elect what they wanted to do with unused tickets by June 21, 2020. The options were i) become creditor ii) keep value to be used by October 31, 2021 or iii) forfeit ticket - https://www.comair.co.za/business-rescue/unused-reservations

*Customers of Comair who elected to become creditors and who have submitted claims will be treated as concurrent creditors. They will be paid out as indicated in the BRP.

*Those who elected to become creditors and would now like to change their election to keep the value to be used by October 31, 2021, should email creditorclaims@comair.co.za.

*Comair says it did not issue any vouchers.
