President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that 132 South African citizens still in Wuhan will be repatriated following the coronavirus outbreak.
Currently there are an estimated 199 South Africans in Wuhan. None of them have been diagnosed with the virus nor have they shown any symptoms. However, they will still stay in quarantine for 21 days on their return to South Africa.
No dates have been set for the evacuation.
The remaining 67 South African citizens still in Wuhan decided to stay and will not be part of the evacuation.
