Correction: Cuba launches eVisas

08 Sep 2024
Comments | 0

In Travel News’ article ‘Cuba launches eVisas’ published on September 5, it was stated that South Africans could obtain a new eVisa for travel to Cuba in place of the currently used tourist card.

Travel News has subsequently been advised that the eVisa system has not yet been implemented in South Africa.

“Cuba has started to roll out this new system in some consulates, but South Africans must continue using a tourist card for now. We hope to make the eVisa system available to South Africa soon, but the embassy will provide updates about this on the website when we do make this change” said Cuban consular staff.
