Costa introduces Nordic walking tours

Costa Cruises has widened its range of excursions to include Urban Nordic Walking Tours in selected ports.

Each participant will be supplied with professional poles and will be taught how to adopt the correct posture and biomechanical approach to Nordic walking. They will also be given a snack and an energy drink.

Through September 29, passengers booking a one-week Mediterranean cruise on the Costa Fascinosa will be able to take part in five excursions dedicated to Nordic walking in Naples, Palermo, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca and Barcelona.

The Naples walking tour takes guests to Porta San Gennaro, the Borgo dei Vergini district, the 16th-century Rione Sanità area and the verdant Royal Wood of Capodimonte. Palermo’s walking tour takes guests to the Quattro Canti, the Palazzo Pretorio and the church of Saint Catherine.

In Ibiza, guests cross the Botafoc Marina to Talamanca beach, in Palma de Mallorca the tour includes a 3km walk to the Bellver Castle, and in Barcelona, travellers will climb the city’s Montjuïc hill and finish at the Mirador del Alcalde viewpoint.
