Premium aviation hub to open in Swartland

Atlantic Aerodrome, a purpose-built premium general aviation and turboprop base, will officially open in the Swartland, 40 minutes outside of Cape Town, on September 26.

The private facility is designed to serve charter companies and other aviation businesses.

All hangars will feature 24/7 biometric security and direct airside access.

Along with hangarage, Atlantic Aerodrome will offer fuel services (including Jet A-1 for turboprop operators), aircraft cleaning and ground handling, maintenance support, high-speed fibre connectivity, backup power and an on-site flight training operation. The facility is being developed to meet applicable aviation regulatory requirements.

The base will also feature a two-level clubhouse with a view of the runway and mountains, restaurants, bars, VIP lounges, pilot facilities, event spaces, guest accommodation and a children’s play park.
