Delta Air Lines has launched nonstop services from Boston to Edinburgh and Lisbon, along with its first transatlantic route from Tampa to Amsterdam.
Delta now offers 12 daily flights to seven destinations in Europe for the Northern hemisphere summer season. Next year, Boston and New York-JFK will gain additional service to London with new flights to Gatwick in partnership with Virgin Atlantic.
Tampa is the second Florida route for Delta to Amsterdam is this a new flight being launched, joining the Orlando service that launched last year. Delta will operate up to 21 daily flights to 11 destinations from Amsterdam to the United States.
The airline is also re-starting services to six other European destinations – Copenhagen, Glasgow, and the Azores from New York-JFK, Reykjavik from Minneapolis. Delta is also increasing frequencies on some of its routes, including New York-JFK to Tel Aviv and Paris, Boston and Minneapolis to Amsterdam and Atlanta to Rome.
Delta's international widebody fleet are equipped with Gogo Ku WiFi connectivity and customers will have access to free mobile messaging while on board through iMessage, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.
