Dublin is set to amend or revoke its passenger cap by the end of the year.
On February 10, the Irish Minister of Transport, Darragh O’Brien, received approval to publish the General Scheme for the Dublin Airport (Passenger Capacity) Bill 2026, which empowers the minister to amend or revoke the airport’s passenger cap of 32 million people per annum.
The decision will be determined taking into consideration environmental and noise-level assessments.
