Alpine Europe’s earlier than anticipated snowfall has continued, resulting in multiple ski resorts opening ahead of schedule.

Ski Solutions, a travel agency that specialises in ski packages, reports that many ski resorts in France, Austria and Switzerland have opened early.

In France, Avoriaz, Val Gardena and Flaine opened on December 2 ahead of schedule. Meanwhile, in Austria Kaprun and Obertauern opened on November 3 and 30, respectively, St. Anton opened on December 3, and Ellmau is set to open on December 8.

Switzerland kicked off its ski season early, with St. Moritz opening on November 25 to a forecast of 85cm by the end of the month.
