Eurowings revises SMART fare

From June 4, Eurowings will offer a revised SMART fare for short- and medium-haul flights, based on feedback from passengers.

The revised fare will no longer include a complimentary snack and drink but travellers will be able to purchase items on board.

In the future, SMART guests will fall into the Priority boarding category and their hand luggage will be transported in the cabin and will not be subsequently loaded, even on fully booked flights. SMART passengers who arrive at the gate after the start of Basic Boarding will be allowed to board via a separate priority lane.

A baggage allowance of 23kg is included in the fare and passengers will be able to reserve a seat at no charge.

The concept will be introduced in Cologne, Vienna, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Palma de Mallorca, Munich, Dusseldorf and Dortmund by June and to all Eurowings flights by September.

Guests who booked their SMART fare flight before June 4 will continue to receive a snack and drink on board and will also benefit from priority boarding and carry-on baggage allowance in the cabin.
